Frequently Asked Questions

Box designer — questions

No. The designer is free and needs no sign-up. Sending a quote request is free as well; you review our written quote and then decide.
Enter the inner size the product needs (width × depth × height, mm). Material thickness is added automatically when you choose the material. If unsure, start from the "Ready sizes" list.
Some panels, such as the lid, turn over when the box is folded. The designer places items so they read correctly once folded; check the result in the 3D view.
Yes. "Save / share" creates a link, which can also be emailed to you. Your design is kept automatically in this browser as well.
The designer produces a preliminary dieline from your size. Before production our structural team checks it against your product and material, and you receive a proof to approve.
Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG logo under "Details". For the sharpest print, also attach your vector logo (AI, EPS, PDF) in the quote form.
The estimate is based on the flat-sheet area, material, quantity and finishes. The final price is confirmed in a written quote after we check the structure and artwork.
Yes. Tick "Start with a prototype" in the quote form; the cost and timing of the sample are stated in your quote.
Materials & finishes

What your box can be made of

We help you choose the board and finishes that suit your product, budget and brand — and say plainly when a finish is not worth its cost.

Material

SBS board

White, smooth board. Common for cosmetics and food cartons where vivid print and crisp detail matter.

Material

Duplex board

Board with a white front and grey back. A more economical option; the inside of the box looks grey.

Material

Kraft board

A natural brown look. Printed colours appear darker and warmer on kraft.

Material

Micro-flute (E / F)

A thin fluted board, light but strong. Ideal for mailer boxes and can be printed inside.

Material

Corrugated board (B / C)

Thicker fluted board for shipping cartons, with higher stacking and transport strength.

Material

Wrapped rigid board

Rigid boxes made by wrapping thick board in coated or textured paper. Prestigious and long-lasting.

Finish

Matt / gloss lamination

A thin film over the print protects the surface. Matt looks calmer, gloss more vivid.

Finish

Soft-touch lamination

Gives a velvety, silky feel. A favourite for premium cosmetics and gift boxes.

Finish

Spot UV varnish

Gloss varnish only on chosen areas, making a logo or pattern stand out on a matt base.

Finish

Hot foil

Gold, silver or coloured metallic foil transferred with heat. Striking on logos and fine detail.

Finish

Embossing & debossing

Embossing raises the surface, debossing presses it in, adding depth you can feel.

Finish

Acetate window

A cut-out window covered with clear acetate shows the product without opening the box.
